Let's Get Started....
Well the tractor was delivered two weeks ago. Unfortunately I was at work when it was delivered. I knew I would be. My father-in-law took delivery of the tractor. I got home and was so excited to see it sitting there in MY driveway. I've never owned a tractor before so I knew there was a lot to learn. My father-in-law came out and showed me how to move the "brand new" bush-hog up and down on the PTO. He showed me where the controls were to move the front-end loader up and down. I already knew where the clutch and break were. I also knew where the steering wheel was. Inside the bucket of the front-end loader was another necessary implement, the Hay Fork. This is the main reason I wanted the tractor. After a two minute lesson on the tractor, my father-in-law headed off to church. There I was, in the middle of my driveway with my own tractor. What now? Well I decided to drive it down the street to our ranch. I raised up the bush-hog....wait...one side of the bush-hog goes up higher than the other. I'm moving the lever all the way up and yet it is barely off the ground....!! It's making marks on the black top driveway everytime I hit a bump. Oh well, don't know what's causing it but I'll figure it out. Andreia met me at the ranch on her way home from work. I left the tractor there and went home for the evening. The next evening, as soon as I got off work, I headed to the ranch to start up my tractor. Nothing.....! It wouldn't start!!! I checked to make sure it was in neutral, I made sure the battery was not dead (all the lights came on). But not even a click when I tried to turn it over. So, my enthusiasm completely deflated, I climbed off the tractor, lowered my head and went straight to my truck and went home. Some first day!!! Hrummmph!!!
